"Areaware stumbled upon ‘paper clips’ by dutch design studio daphna laurens at last year’s milan design week. the objects originated as part of a larger study of two-dimensional shapes, where line was the only component used to define form and later, function. ‘with the aim to create a large furniture piece or lighting project, we set out to find unexpected forms through imaginative exploration. however, we began to really enjoy crafting these shapes and decided to develop a much more straightforward concept.’ said the designers."
