Objects for Objects
Leonard Bessemer founded Objects for Objects in 2017. As a self-taught carpenter, he began doing custom fabrication and build outs for stores and residences. Some of the first designs he made were produced from offcuts of materials from those jobs. Objects for Objects designs feature simple but alluring shapes in carefully chosen colors and delectable textures that enliven and animate a room.
Objects for Objects has produced a collection for Urban Outfitters x Clever and was awarded a spot on Sight Unseen’s 2019 American design Hot List. His work has been featured in Elle Decor France, Belle Magazine, and on the sites of Clever, Architectural Digest, and Domino.
Leonard moved back to California in 2012 after living and working for artists in Berlin. He currently lives and has his studio in Los Angeles.
Oh, and the adorable creature is Sam.
