Title: Content Creation Intern
Reports To: Brand Strategy Director
Status: Part-Time, One Day Weekly, In-Person
Hourly Rate: $18/hr
Location: 36 Cooper Square, Fifth Fl, NY, NY 10003

Role Overview
We are looking for a bright, bold, and creative Content Creation Intern to join our marketing team in NYC. This person should feel confident in front of the camera and be on top of the latest trends across TikTok and Instagram. This is a three-month or six-month paid internship working in-person one day per week with the opportunity to continue into the year.

Some Things You’ll Work On
• Researching and reporting on top-performing content and pinpointing trends to participate in.
• Filming, editing, and scheduling content for Areaware’s TikTok and Instagram.
• Presenting new photo and video concepts to the team weekly.
• Proposing like-minded influencers for Areaware to partner with on social. 

You Have
• A love for creating playful, engaging content across your social channels and have a portfolio to prove it.
• At least 1 year of work experience in content creation or creative role.
• The ability to shoot and edit comfortably, natively in-app and using DSLR camera equipment.
• An eye for aesthetics and understanding of what works visually.
• A solid understanding of brand voice and a good copywriter.
• A thorough understanding of platform-specific best practices.
• Are eager to learn about brand marketing and help evolve social channels by trying new things. 

Bonus Points
• You have experience designing social assets on Figma, Photoshop, etc.
• Have previously worked for a home accessories or gift brand.
